When

The awkward moment when:

• ... I realized I had no dignity or self-respect - and had never missed them.

• ... You realize that your friend who just had sex with you now expects the two of you to be exclusive, and it had never occurred to you.
• ... Driving on the freeway as a man jogs by on the overpass ahead, and you think, "he has a life, too", and nearly lose control of the car.
• ... Driving on the freeway, the thought "God is One" crashes in to my awareness with such horrific force that I burst in to tears and can't collect myself for hours.
• ... I sit at my desk at work with my face in my hands, crying, because my marriage is going through convulsions.
• ... I sit at the stop light with my eyes closed, weaving to the music pulsing from the stereo and I know people are watching me, and I don't care.
